S3 Recycling Rapidly Expands
Headquartered in Tennessee, S3 Recycling Solutions is expanding operations by constructing a new facility and hiring a Chief Operations Officer (COO).

From its launch in 2007, S3 Recycling Solutions has been providing services to a range of clients across America and Canada. As an R2-certified business with experience in technology recycling, S3 Recycling Solutions continues to achieve cost-conscious means of receiving, sorting, repurposing, and remarketing electronic items.
According to S3’s CEO, Rod McDaniel, the organization has experienced significant growth “at a rapid rate the past few years and it’s time to shore up those processes.”

McDaniel explained that John Revetti has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and emphasized that this step was crucial for the company’s progress. He highlighted that it was S3’s goal to increase efficiency “so we can continue to climb. We don’t want to grow ourselves out of business.”
Located right beside S3 Recycling Solutions’ existing 75,000-square-foot building, McDaniel recently announced its multimillion-dollar purchase of a 78,000 square feet warehouse space in Springfield, Tennessee. This acquisition was made possible after the owners of a business park decided to exit real estate.
“Both buildings sit on 10-plus acres so it’s twofold for us,” McDaniel stated. “We are using the building as leverage for continued growth and also for the possibility of moving into [it].”
At the moment, part of the structure is occupied by a renter, according to McDaniel. Therefore, S3 wll need to wait some time before relocating any processes into its new space.
“We wanted to go ahead and snag up the real estate, as we were already talking about growing,” he asserted.
Many Projects Ahead
McDaniel stated that the opportunity for S3 Recycling Solutions to expand stems from current clients and potential new customers too. There are also several significant projects in the pipeline, including one involving an extensive health corporation situated on the west coast.
“We’ve got a pretty big pipeline of clients nationwide, so we need to be looking at the future as far as space goes,” he said.
Currently, S3 Recycling Solutions handles 20,000 devices on a monthly basis. According to McDaniel, by increasing its workspace this figure could be doubled. However, with Revetti now focusing on perfecting and optimizing internal operations, it is likely that even higher processing volumes will be achieved.
“I think we’ll be able to do more and find more value in the things that we do and automate some things,” he added. “There are already talks about equipment to buy to speed up our processes. I think all around, it’s a good time right now for us.”
